Staff Awards 2015

Pierhead Building Cardiff Bay

The venue for this years awards ceremony was changed from the Senedd to the Pierhead building situated in Cardiff Bay. With grade 1 listing, the Pierhead Building was built in 1897 for the Bute Dock Company at a cost of £30,000 which was paid for by the 3rd Marquess of Bute. It was designed by William Frame using terracotta bricks made in Wrexham. The Pierhead became the administrative office for the port of Cardiff in 1947 and now forms part of the National Assembly for Wales complex.
